to take this challenge and I'm having
(finish what you have)
.
I decided to take this challenge and I'm having lots of fun! Great idea, Vicki! I had lots of embroideries with sea motifs I made many years ago (I can't tell how many, actually). These were meant to make placemats but now I was just not in to that anymore, so I thought I could end up with several items, all coordinating. These are the results so far: a bag, a pincushion and a pouch.

I can't believe I made this bag; that would seem impossible some months ago. I'm really happy with the result.

I'm now working on a book case. It's almost finished; just some details missing... Last night I made one for P. too (using more manly fabrics, of course). He's going on a business trip to Switzerland, so I thought it would be nice to make a book case to protect the books he's taking to read in the plain. I finished it very late last night so I don't have pictures yet.

This Finish What You Have challenge is an excellent idea to get you to finish those forgotten projects. This is just the tip of the iceberg for me really; I have lots of unfinished projects. Will I be able to finish all of them? We will see... There's also a Flickr group to post post pictures of the finished items over here.
Brilliant! I love these. I'm so impressed that you were able to turn an old project into a set of new ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the challenge!

I think that is such a great idea. And I really like what you've put together. I love how the pouch, pincushion and bag are all coordinated.
